The lead compound in Clomedex is a proprietary extract of Eurycoma longifolia, also known as Tongkat Ali, this traditional Malaysian aphrodisiac is still one of the most exciting and effective breakthroughs in the quest for optimal testosterone enhancement. Since its introduction from the East Asian medical world, this herb has developed a rock-solid reputation as a heavyweight test booster, heavily backed up by numerous unrelated, unbiased scientific studies, -both in vitro and in vivo, in multiple animal species and in humans. These studies have determined three distinct mechanisms:

1. Increased substrate enzymes for the biosynthesis of testosterone
2. Increased cAMP
3. Decreased SHBG

In human testicular tissue, an extract yielded a 440% increase in testosterone, with human infertility studies having also revealed a suitably impressive response.

Bulbine natalensis is a plant with a long history of use to treat infertility and as an aphrodisiac in Traditional African Medicine. At lower dosages, the aqueous extract produced a significant increase in serum testosterone and luteinizing hormone concentration in animal studies, accompanied by dramatically increased mating behaviour. All dosages demonstrated pronounced anabolic and androgenic effects in these studies, there are ongoing studies with human subjects.

Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract is a popular inclusion in any adaptogenic formula today, where it is regularly used to reduce stress hormones. However, several studies have also noted the effect of this extract on testosterone levels, which does not merely come about through reduced antagonism by cortisol. Astragalus studies have shown that the extract is able to significantly increase leydig cell numbers in the testes, leading to a sharp increase in testosterone. In addition, the testicular Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) level rose to support this elevation in a sustained manner. In line with this increase in testicular antioxidant status, N-acetylcysteine has been added to potentiate this improvement in fertility status, as studies have found that oral NAC supplementation can effectively produce improvement in sperm concentration, ejaculate volume, sperm motility and normal morphology for infertile men.

The anti-aromatase fraction in SARMS PCT Clomedex is supplied as a complex of Grapeseed Extract (GSE) and Diindolylmethane (DIM). The biggest single obstacle that limits efficacy in most natural compounds that demonstrate in vitro anti-aromatase activity is bioavailability, DIM is one of the few to show success. A study examining the effect of DIM supplementation on breast density, a recognized predictive factor of breast cancer risk in women, was carried out on 23 healthy female BRCA carriers (the breast cancer predictive gene). When compared to the control, women using DIM showed no difference in fibroglandular tissue one year on, estrogen levels had also dropped by around a third. Likewise, oral GSE supplementation in similar studies has also demonstrated the ability to inhibit aromatase activity as well as decrease its expression. Such pronounced anti-aromatase activity is a sure-fire tool to increase testosterone levels in men.
